DAY FOURTEEN

Image One: “Determined to get his way, Chappy jumps after Jaz right from the get-go. She doesn’t shut him down, so he takes this as a good sign.”

Image Two: “’Take that!’ he cries at Ben, poking a finger at him, ‘I guess she doesn’t love you so much! She still wants me!’”

Image Three: “Our Gang™ decides to spend the day at the local park, fraternizing with the locals and getting rid of their stir-craziness. Maybe it’ll ease tensions in the house, too.”

Image Four: “However, Our Gang™’s enjoyment of the day is cut short when Jaz returns to the house to get some cutlery and finds it on fire! Again!”

Image Five: “The flames leaping like a startled gorilla, they catch on the hem of Jaz’s pants and she lights up like a Christmas tree.”

Image Six: “With everyone else still at the park, with no one to save her, Jaz expires. *ominous organ music*”

Image Seven: “She pleads with the Grim Reaper to let her live, hoping to buy time until the others return home.”

Image Eight: “Her diversionary tactics work, and Ben returns to find the Grim Reaper about to give Jaz the axe. ‘Stop!’ he cries, and he challenges the Grim Reaper to a game of chess for Jaz’s life.”

Image Nine: “It was a nailbiting game, but with the cleverness that Chappy mocked him for the previous day, Ben defeats the Grim Reaper! Jaz is resurrected!”

Image Ten: “Quite tired of the house being made of flammable materials, everyone goes to sleep, some a bit happier together than others.”
